What Time Does GTA 6 Launch in Brazil and Around the World?
Rockstar confirmed GTA 6 unlocks at local midnight in each region on November 19. Here's the exact unlock time in Brazil and how it works by timezone.
Official launch time confirmed by Rockstar
Rockstar Games confirmed that GTA 6 launches globally at midnight (00:00) LOCAL time in each region on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. That means the game doesn't unlock at one fixed moment worldwide — each timezone hits midnight at a different point in UTC.
How it works by timezone — who plays first
Regions located further east on the map (parts of Oceania and Asia) reach local midnight earlier in UTC terms, so they unlock the game first. Regions further west (like the Americas) reach their own local midnight several hours later in absolute UTC terms — but for every player, in practice, the game unlocks at midnight on THEIR own clock, regardless of timezone.
Exact launch time in Brazil
In Brasília time (UTC-3), GTA 6 unlocks at midnight on November 19, 2026 — that is, 03:00 UTC that same day. PlayStation Store listings in Brazil already reflect this unlock time.
Frequently asked questions
What time does GTA 6 launch in Brazil?
At midnight on November 19, 2026, Brasília time (UTC-3) — equivalent to 03:00 UTC.
Is the launch at the same time in every country?
Not in absolute UTC terms. Rockstar confirmed the game unlocks at midnight LOCAL time in each region — so timezones further east (parts of Asia and Oceania) get the game first in UTC terms, but everyone sees the game unlock at midnight on their own clock.
Does Xbox follow the same rule as PS5?
For the main launch, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S both follow the same local-midnight-per-timezone unlock logic. (Worth noting: for the pre-load — not the launch itself — Rockstar confirmed a simultaneous global unlock on Xbox with no timezone variation, while PS5 pre-load follows local midnight.)
Do I need to stay up until midnight to play?
Only if you want to be among the first to play at the exact unlock moment. Since the game unlocks at local midnight, just make sure your pre-download is finished and your console is on close to midnight in your timezone.
